1932
Era il 1932 quando Dandolo Picciotti e Elvezia Branca iniziarono la loro attività in un piccolo locale sulla Via Appia Nuova.
In quel tempo gli articoli in ottone rano poco diffusi, ma anche allora la nostra attenzione era rivolta alla cura dell'articolo e delle sue rifiniture. Con l'avvento della II Guerra Mondiale, l'ottone diventa un metallo raro; le poche fusioni sono per pochi eletti e si diffonde la linea Busiri Vici. Nel 1953 l'azienda passa al primogenito Manlio che sfruttando il boom economico degli anni 50/60 da un impulso alla stessa spostandosi in più ampi locali, incrementando la produzione e la vendita degli articoli. Sotto la nuova direzione l'azienda cerca di vendere direttamente all'utilizzatore attraverso il nuovo negozio di Via Appia, allargando la gamma di articoli, unendo produzione artigianale a quella industriale per soddisfare tutte le esigenze.

    1993
Nel 1993 l'azienda ai figli Marco e Susanna Picciotti con la denominazione L'ottonaio SRL, marchio che va sempre più affermandosi come sinonimo di affidabilità eraffinatezza. Nello stesso anno l'azienda apre un altro punto vendita in Via dei Gracchi per essere presente in più zone. La particolare cura rivolta alla nostra preoduzione e la classicità della linea hanno fatto sì che gli articoli dell'Ottonaio fossero scelti quali complementi d'arredo in ambienti raffinati ed eleganti.

In 1932 Dandolo Picciotti and Elvezia Branca start their activity in a little shop on the APPIA NUOVA road. In that time the brass articles were not so popular but they also took cared of their finitures. During the Second World War the brass became a rare object; the brass fusion are for elite people and in the meantime the BUSIRI VICI line grew up. By 1953 Dandolo’s eldest son , Manlio, had assumed the management of the small company giving a brand new impulse improving the production and the selling of the brass articles thanks to the 50’s and 60’s economic boom; to satisfy all the orders and needs he mixed the industrial manufactures to the hand made ones.

    1993
In 1993 Manlio’ s sons , Susanna and Marco get in the business creating the trade “L’OTTONAIO srl” giving a touch of new fine quality in a beautiful brass articles. In the same year a new shop was born in Via dei Gracchi to be in different area in Rome. The particular care of our production and the classical style became very important for the Ottonaio; yet, even in this new, modern millenium, the skilled hands of the workers still carefully craft every detail in order to satisfy the customers, continuing demand for excellence. That is our philosophy and lifestyle today and give to us an impulse to be always in an improving situation.
